Wow!!! Where did time go? I cannot believe 2016 is over and we are already 13 days into 2017. Lets face it, we all make New Year resolutions for every year we enter into and I will be the first to say, that I do not always keep up with my resolutions. I told myself for this year (2017), that I will focus more on goal setting. Not just for the year but monthly, weekly and daily goals. I vow to hold myself accountable for the goals I set on a daily basis. You can start small. You do not have to set these large and unrealistic goals, they should be realistic and challenging. The more realistic you are, the more likely you are to accomplish them.
Each day, I have a sticky note that I keep on my desk and I will write out a to do list, a list of reminders and a list of goals. Your goals can range from, reading your bible each morning or night, drinking more water or saying something positive or giving a compliment to 5 people a day. You do not have to stress yourself out over it so keep it simple.
Remember, your goals should be important and motivating to you not dreadful. What is your why? Why do you want to achieve this goal? Follow each goal with another why. And most importantly, set goals that are attainable. Please do not demoralize yourself with unattainable goals.
I hope your year is blessed and full of many opportunities that will develop you, challenge you and encourage you!
